This meditation involves two distinct movements or positions, both aimed at enhancing energy flow and connection between partners.
Tantric Meditation Type 1: Face-to-Face Lotus Position
- Starting Position: Sit facing your partner in a lotus position (or cross-legged if lotus is uncomfortable). Ensure you are directly facing each other.
- Hand Connection: Extend your right hand to meet your partner’s left hand, and your left hand to meet their right hand, creating a hand-to-hand connection.
- Eye Gazing: Gently gaze into each other’s eyes. Maintain soft eye contact throughout the meditation.
- Visualization (1 Minute): For one minute, visualize a white, luminous energy flowing between you. Imagine this energy originating from the point of hand contact and the space between your heads. See it spiraling upwards in a helix shape, rising above your heads and then cascading down, overflowing like a fountain onto both of your heads.
Tantric Meditation Type 2: Back-to-Back Lotus Position
- Starting Position: Sit back-to-back with your partner in a lotus position. Your back should be firmly supported by your partner’s back. Some ancient texts suggest that the upper body should be bare for optimal energy flow, but this is optional and depends on comfort and setting.
- Hand and Head Connection: Connect right hand to right hand and left hand to left hand with your partner. Gently lean your heads back to rest against each other.
- Eye Closure: Close your eyes to deepen your focus and internal visualization.
- Visualization of Ascending Light: Imagine a brilliant white light energy circulating and ascending upwards between your spines. Visualize this light rising like a fountain from the base of your spines, flowing upwards and then overflowing from the crown of both your heads, cascading down your faces and bodies.

- Earth Energy: Visualize white light originating from the center of the Earth, spiraling upwards through the spines of both partners in a helical motion, rising and overflowing from your heads.
- Galactic Energy: Imagine a spiral of white light traveling at the speed of light from the center of the galaxy. Visualize this galactic light descending and striking the point where your heads meet, the point of connection between you and your partner.
- Inner Illumination: Feel and visualize this combined energy from the Earth and the Galaxy filling your entire being and your partner’s being with pure white light. Imagine your inner selves becoming completely saturated with this radiant energy.
